screen resolutions in multi user XP home?

Hi, on our home PC we run a windows xp home OS with a multi user setup... is there any way i can set a different screen resolution for each logon? I want a high res for graphics work and so forth... the old man wants a lower res.

Any third party programs that do it?

cheers,
ben

Not that I know of but maybe someone else will know of one...

Have you tried a search of the MS knowledge base?

Display resolution and colour depth are system wide settings and apply to all users. This is by microsoft design... to my knowlegde there is no 3rd party utility that will manage it for you.

Dang! > Saw this thread and hoped for an answer!

My 3yo has one game that's fixed at 640x480, and the options in the shortcut to run in that mode won't work.

Anyone got this to work before? and/or know what's required to get this to work?

Cheers
Chris

Hey that multires is very cool for changing resolutions... although it does not allow multi user defining on boot, its quick and painless.

This is a problem on Windows 2000 and Windows XP. I have searched for a solution (my wife and I have different resolution tastes) for quite some time and have not found one.
