How can I disable the folder portal feature, or easily create a desktop shortcut instead of a folder portal?
You can remove portals and just not use them, hence, disabling portals.
All you need to do is to click the X in the top right corner of the portal. This WILL NOT delete the folder in it's original directory.
Then, you simply right click a folder, choose "send to desktop create shortcut" and then place that shortcut into a fence, or leave it on the desktop.
