ship builder disappeared

This has gotten me frustrated so I hope someone has the answer. After a certain race I downloaded kept giving me error msg's about bad ship type, my ship builder main screen stopped working. If I try to create/modify a design, the components on the left show up but the main screen in the middle is empty. I deleted the offending race, as well as 2 others I downloaded that day but no help. Also, any space battles don't show up either. If I'm in general quick battle mode, I see it but if I try to see the detailed battle, I see the icons at the bottom get damage but the main screen is empty. I've already updated the video drivers, activeX is up to version 12 and I've uninstalled/redownloaded the game. Any suggestions?

additional info - running windows 10 on minimum machine but it worked before I downloaded a certain race from steam workshop.

Sorry that you are having trouble.  When you deleted the race, did you unsubscribe from it as well?  Otherwise, Steam will automatically re-download the faction again.  If that's not the case, can you submit a ticket so we can help you out?  Be sure to include a zip file with any custom zip ships or custom factions you are currently using.  Also, include the name of the faction that you downloaded that caused the problem in the first place.  Thanks
