On the second largest map with all default AIs included (and minors), GC3 is using 10.5GB, and along with other progs is using a total of 89% of my system's resources (16GB).
For those of you who are playing on the insane map size with 100s of civs, how much RAM do you have? 32GB? Thanks.
I play insane I normally max out at about 14.5 gb with win 10 running... It usually though throttles down as the game runs to around 10-12 gb this is with 86 AI as well.
I play on insane with about 35 major and 30 minors, I use about 12-13 gigs and have 16 in my system.
I always play at insane map size. 13 Majors (includes 2 custom) and minor races set at abundant. Star and Planet frequency are also set to abundant I have 16GB and Gal Civ III is only using 9.2GB - CPU usage is 29-31%. Total memory usage is running around 11.3GB.
I was getting game freeze-ups when 1.7 first came out, but I haven't seen any issues since I started a new game.
I've just ordered 32GB of RAM. Don't like my system being so close to its limits and I want to play the game maxed out in the future.
