Question for WB skinners.

Alrighty while making a skin (XP Unusable) I found a problem and couldn't figure out what is actually used to skin it...

the area I have found is visable for me on a couple of places

1. In displat properties under "Settings" the border for the area where you set resolution and color settings.

2. Iconopackager the border on the right where you select "Desktop, folders, drives, others, files, custom files, cursors."

What should I modify to skin this because in the skin it is blacked out.

I can't say for sure, but I would check the groupbox out. I am putting the finishing touches on my latest and just checked out those areas and they are skinned for me.

That's correct. The border is Groupbox Frame and the header is Groupbox Header.

I need help now too... In Icon packager, under icons and cursors, the Tabs on the top, the ones with the spin button at the right side, the text is white and it needs to be black, anyone know how to change this?

I haven't had a chance to test this, but you might want to adjust the font for the classic task button. I'm pretty sure that's where it gets its settings from.

Hmmm... I would have thought you were right Mike, but I just changed the fonts and colors to no avail... It's gotta be somewhere though cause I just checked with another skin and it's got the black text like I need. The tabs, toolbars, menu buttons, taskbars, and everything else are black text as they should be... Now there could it be?

Select the tabs on the windows view. If color is not showing in the section view, add it for normal, pressed, focus etc. Set your color there for tab text color.

It's not the tabs, or anything else that I can see. I just went through the entire skin and changed every text color to black (minus the disabled text). The only other skin that's doing it is the default Luna skin, and all the text I have seen everywhere else is as it sould be and None of it is white except for the one place in iconpackager... Maybe it is a problem with the new default skin, I know they changed the luna skin recently with the new skin studio. Could it be flawed? Any guess on my part is just that... a guess

Ok, since you've changed text colors for every element to no avail, that leaves only one place: Color Presets.

It looks like it uses Color Preset #1 for the text color, and Font Preset #0 as the text font.

Right you are and thanks a bunch! I would have never thought to check that. You wouldn't by any chance be able to explain why the explorer titlebars have a small transparent gap between them and the toolbar and\or menu on occation would you?

I don't think I've ever encountered that, except in cases where the skin was designed to have a gap there.

I've seen it on 4 skins i've tried today, 2 of my own and 2 of others making, it seems completely random
