Right click - File explorer issues

links show but won't work

I've been happily using start 10 for about a month now.   When I right-click on the File explorer, my favorite folders emerge.  When I click on any of them, I can see the link, but I can't get to the folder. This problem just emerged yesterday. I tried removing a favorite and pinning it back in. I got the little box that said "pinning to File Explorer" but that favorite  didn't show up.  Left clicking on File explorer works fine. Help!! I use those pinned folders many times a day!

At what exact location are you right clicking on File Explorer?

in both the taskbar and  - although I normally use the Win 7 menu -  when I activate the Win 10 start menu. I right click in both places and get the same result.
