W10 - desktop icons keep changing size on reboot

Hi,

I don't yet own Fences, but I am having a problem that I'm hoping Fences might fix.

I am using Windows 10 Home with two monitors--NEC PA272W, 2560x1440, and HP LP2065, 1600x1200.  Windows is set to extend the desktop across both monitors.  The NEC is my main monitor and all of my desktop icons as well as the taskbar are on the NEC.

I have my icons set to medium size using right-click > View > Medium icons.  Auto arrange is unchecked; the other two options are checked.

When I reboot, the size of the desktop icons change and they are bigger than what I set.  Sometimes the position of some of the icons changes as well.  I have Googled this like crazy and I see that others have this problem with no solution.

Do you think Fences will prevent the change in icon size?

Thanks for any help here.

John

Thanks, Dave.  I may simply try Fences and see if it helps as you suggest.  I thought I'd ask in case someone had had direct experience with this.
