Daily Shot

Just so you don't feel all alone on this big, scary MSG board WOM.

Well, it works like this. Moderators look through the Screenshots or WinStyles library, whenever they have a chance, and select uploads to feature as daily shots. Sometimes there are dozens in the queue, and sometimes there are none, like today. In that case the site will just continue to show the last daily shot until new ones are selected. I just selected a few, so whenever the site is programmed to check the queue again, something new will be there.

Then, shouldn't it be called "The next available shot soon to come"?

Those in the UK will undertanded that the Daily Shot follows the "DFS - Sale ends Sunday" theory.

@Martin..............I remember the "Allied Carpets" sale too, lasted about 15 years!

Daily Shot supports WinStyles and Screenshots. I prefer to select WinStyles when there are new ones that haven't been selected before because users can actually apply them to their computer.

There are lots of things that require moderator's attention on this site, and daily shots are probably the last thing I get to. Afterall, I'm sure people would prefer to have their uploads accepted first. The message board gets a lot of attention too, particularly when there is a rather sensative debate to keep an eye on.

Besides, the name daily shot simply means there is a shot there every day. It doesn't necessarily mean it has to be different.

Mike: For some reason, I haven't been able to get into the screenshot queue area for quite a few weeks now. I just get the "your search returned no results " page, even though I can see that there are some in the queue. Hav you had any problems with this?
I have no problem accessing the other sections like Featured queue, etc.

I got that message when I went there this morning, but there were indeed no screenshots in the queue. Once I added some, it worked fine for me.
