So confused.. :-)

Umm.. I really like this site.. and I got acouple questions to ask.

For those of you that are into this stuff, did you purchase all of the programs and subscribe to these sites(and if so what ones?)

And what do you guys make this stuff with!! Like lets take Winamp for example, how did you make it, do you make like section at a time or something?

What is a list of programs you use to make the stuff, it just boggles my mind on how cool and amazing it all is, I would really love to know this info!!

Any information you can give me on this type of career(or w/e it is called ) would be really nice and I would love you forever, THANKS!!

The only way to go is ObjectDesktop.Buy the whole thing with a subscription to the Wincustomize Browser the you'll be set.The server access is never a problem and you get free Premium themes as a subscriber. You will be surprised how much you use it.Once you have the Programs then you download as much as you want.A great deal if you ask me.Go for it all you won't regret it.

I do agree that Object Desktop is the way to go. Although if you haven't used skinning before it might be wise for you to take a step at a time first. Use the free version of Windowblinds for example to get a feel for how things change using it. WB was the only program I used from Stardock for quite some time simply because I thought my PC couldn't handle it. (when it was on 98 it couldn't, but on XP it is proving it can). I don't use every aspect of Object Desktop all the time, but the option is there to do so when I want a change or I see a kewl theme that I want to use.
Sorry I can't help much as far as making skins, I am not particularly artistic, and have never done well playing with graphics. But using OD is still a lot of fun even if I have to wait for someone else to make a theme I find useful.
