Stardock Central

I'm having trouble with Stardock Central. Since yesterday, every time I try to open it, I get a "Login Failed". IS anyone else having this problem, or is it just me?

Numerous reports of this in the SDCentral newsgroup. Haven't seen any resolution.

At the risk of being yelled at again, I'll tell everyone... don't try alpha or beta versions of anything... nothing but guaranteed headaches. I'll wait for the released final versions every time.

It is quite simple as I learned from trying 5 minutes ago : Tools --> Edit Stardock net account --> fill in Your password again. SDC will then connect the right way. The password seems to be lost under certain circumstances I don't know...

Jam : SDC beta is stable and cannot harm Your system. I have uninstalled Component manager for it and I am quite happy.

It happened to me. I went down to the lower right*Registration Info* to verify there. I reentered my e-mail address. Everything is fine now. (Hope this works?)

Thanks all. I reentered my password from the tools menu as c242 suggested and, lo and behold, it worked! I'm in again and I'm a very happy camper. You guys are just the greatest! I've found Stardock Central, even in its' beta, to be very reliable. No problems until yesterday, and that was solved easily enough.

Hey, Nikki Wilke, are you talking about an actual password or the serial number? (like 21 digits) I have checked all of that and still can't log on. I don't see where you enter a user password.

Talking about the password. Look under Tools->Edit Stardock.net Account.

I still don't see a place for a password. just email address and serial #. This is for Object Desktop.

Wow...I just noticed that somehow I was logged into Wincustomize with my original loggin...Nikki Wilke. I logged out and then relogged in and I was Nikkicat again. This is mind boggling since it's been about a year since I changed it to Nikkicat. I just checked to make sure I could still log into Stardock Central and that was okay. I wonder what other surprises will be coming my way today?

Nikki,

I suspect that SDC is logging you on as one account and you are logging on to WC as another. Please drop me an email at [email protected] and I will look at your accounts when I get back in the office on Monday.
