Nice demo, excellent idea. At 36.4Mb DSL only though!

Will we see more demos for other proggies? A lot of people will find this useful.

Nice. Are You using a cam to record it or are there any decent programs that can record desktop action in a proper way ?

great

I think it is the sound that has the size up like it does. should be able to compress the sound downand the graphics a bit, if not done already, also have it as a multipart zip in smaller chunks so dialup can handle it better...

just a thought, probaly late to the gate too

oh, Macromedia Authorware might help get the size of such things down a bit, mnewest version might even work with compiled flash? might be worth a look

I was trying to see how clearly I could do the desktop. I wasn't concentrating on size.

As long as you're doing 800x600 or higher there's always going to be the issue of having it squeeze the resolution down for the video.

looks good and also informative

also opens up thoughts of possibilities for streaming tutorials or down loadable ones, maybe in the future...

very cool...

oh, I was meaning the download size, on 1.5 mbit dsl it was zoom zoom

dunno how a 56k dial up reaching for at least a 43 - 48 connetion would be like

One thing nice about WMV is that they do seem to stream well.

extremely blurry but larger than your last one that I seen for Toon XP (I myself would rather have smaller and clearer than bigger and blurry)

neat to see this in action on vid

I wonder how Gamespot does it then.

The issue is that the screen is 800x600 or higher, but obviously the video is going to be lower res. I'll have to look into it.

Codec install error on Win2k. (WMP 6.4) Probably only works on XP.

bordfryr123, have you entered you registration info into SC?

i was able to log in fine yesterday, but today i am also getting login failed. so i suspect the stardock server is having a bad day. given it is currently saturday, it might take a couple of days for someone to get back to work and fix it.

Hi Feline, T-Man gave a link to the latest version of SDC, 091. Now it works fine. Thanks!

Brad, is there any of the streaming media servers that handle SVG ? I was thinking that if the did, it would really be great because it's all numbers, and the quality would not degrade in the least and it would stream alot faster raw like that than compressed...

anyway, just kicking the can around...
