BMW are very protective of their IP, brand, etc, so very doubtfull any skins would be available.

(to da_zman20) support America, buy American...
Why? We're not all Yankee Doodles, you know. (unfurls Cross of St. George)

Fact remains that us Americans build better cars. Never seen a forign car last 300,000 miles like my ford. If you live in America, Support America, Buy American. Nothin worse than lining other countries pockets with money when our workers are getting pink slips.

While we're at it.....I always got a kick out of watching Indy....interviews with a driver's Kindergarten teacher....so cute.....reason being they couldn't get too 'thingie' about the cars....Lolas and Marchs....Even the American Chassis builders were based in England....
So much for US Auto capabilities...

Funny how Japanese and German cars have better resale value on the used car market. Must be because they are no good.

"many years ago I new a taxi driver(...)"

You're slipping, mate.

And the the Indy winning 'Chevrolet' and 'Ford' engines (as in REAL Indycars ... not the present 'Idiot Racing League') were built by Ilmor and Cosworth ....
Funny how the present Indy 500 has switched to Toyota and Honda power ....
A 'BMW' theme is easy, just a couple of oil slicks and plenty of rusty metal.
