might sound silly but it has to do with art work , skining and walls

I am and have been wondering about how I am going about creating things here.

Basically for my walls I am drawing them in pencil and then once I am happy with
the outcome, I am hand drawing the sketchs onto marker art paper (very white and fantastic for detailed scanning) and then scanning stuff into the system and then playing around with Painter and Photoshop. Is anyone else doing this? or am I doing way to much for little return in consideration of just moving from paper to digital totally?

anyway.. some ideas would be great

Interesting way of doing walls. An artist drawing the wall onto paper and then scanning it sounds like a good way if it works.

I have always wondered how many of the authors that submit work here have a degree in graphic design or went to college to become an artist.

/me wishes she could turn back time and relive her life.

If drawing with a pencil is what you find natural then maybe you should consider a graphics tablet? I have a WACOM Graphire 2 and it was a steal. They are incredibly cheap these days for what they do. I would highly recomend it. Pressure sensitivity adds a whole new dimension to photoshop...does PSP support pressure?

The trial versions of PSP pressure you into buying within 30 days. Does that count?

Hi IPlural, I also use WACOM GRAPHIRE 2. There are so many applications that can be done with this program.I also recommend it.

I m going to bug my wife about the tablet, she said I have to hol doff on the g4 17.2 titanium something about "Not in this lifetime!" so maybe if I shoot lower she will go for it

I've wanted one for a while now, but they were kind of $$$ when I looked a year or so back, I have a digitizer for CAD and such, but it doesn't do much for drawing...

paxx as soon as I get something ready I will post it as my desktop screen shot. till then I'll see about scanning some sketchs in and combining them. I never went to school, though won a few awards and some people wanted to put me in art school. But... don't expect much because I am remembering it as I go

I've been chicken scratching out a pic of Cricket players, the guy throwing the ( ball? ) is the focus, and will add more as I go.. I'll see about penning it and then post it and the rough sketch at webshots it though rough draft...

mm, paxx, my desktop is kind of the process I was talking about, it's only two quick, like the time to smoke a cig, each rough doodles which are put together for a reference, scale isn't correct or anything, and they can be moved around with other elements when they get thrown together (paste up) until I have to look and feel I think best fits, and then a complete sketch of that, then pen over it, erase and scan, then painter to bring it along and/or photoshop to finish some aspects up ( possibly) and then back into paint or what have you until it is to liking...

anyway, Im still remembering how a pencil works, soooo nothing spectacular is forth coming from me for a while I am thinking....
