Annoying Desktop.exe and Harddisk errors lately on alot of skins

I'm noticing more and more a silly error when loading different themes.

**DesktopX.exe - No Disk
**There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \device\harddisk2\DR2

I've gotten it on a few themes lately. Same Exact Error Message.
And you can't get rid of the message. Cancel 700 times doesn't do it.
Rebooted, deleted, reloaded, redownloaded.

If anybody has any idea ... let me know.

I would susupect a plugin is at fault. Possibly DXToys. But without knowing which themes that would be a rough guess.

I tried loading the Colony object which replaces The SysMetrix goodies and got the same thing. I then attempted to go into properties to correct the problem, but with the message box 'insert disk' coming back in a nano second when I close it, the effort proved impossible. I'd like to play with the colony object, but can't...

Rastor was one and Clik I believe was one. Was some others..but I just deleted them. I'll redownload them and try and get a list if ya want.

Ok. I downloaded Colony DXInfoPanel (I'm presuming that was the same one). It does have one DXToys object in it. Not sure if that's causing the problem or not. You may want to have a word to the the author and see if they can send you a copy of the object minus the dxtoys object. If they are ok with it I would be happy to do that myself.

Out of interest what OS are you both using?

Windows XP Home. I've faced this problem with older themes (can't remember which ones), and I don't believe it's dxtoys but it lies in the way dxtoys is configured.

Ran into the same problem myself, Windows XP home, Harddisk message. When I load a disk into my Iomega Zip, I'm able to clear the message and proceed.

Yeah i'm still getting it..it just randomly pops up now and again. Not sure how or where to start looking to find out why its looking for that.

Even happening on a theme i've been using for 2 weeks and never seen the message before. Just got it 15 mins ago
