New to WB

Open the WB config window and click on modify skin. You'll be able to change colors, add textures and affect the transparency. Other than that you'll want to use SkinStudio to modify the skin any further.

Thanks for the reply! That much I actually have figured out, I just haven't been able to figure out how to change the colors of the title bar, taskbar, etc. within SkinStudio. Everything that I change that looks like it will do what I want and in the preview window I see it, but it never applies even after hitting the apply button... At first I thought I wasn't allowed to change a pre-existing skin (Echo in this case) so I copied it and tried doing my changes with the copy. Still no go. I really do feel like a dunce here. LOL Maybe I should search YouTube for a video tutorial? It's sad, I know.

Don't feel like that you did all you could try. 

Some WindowBlinds will re-color and some will not. For the skins that won't re-color there is nothing WindowBlinds can do to change it. The only way to get the color you want would be to change the color of the images that are used in skinstudio. Unless you are familiar with SKS this will not be an easy task. There are many skins available to download with many different colors. If you still can't can't find a skin with the colors you like I suggest this. Try different skins you may like but but different colors. Find one that will re-color using WindowBlinds. However even with WindowBlinds it won't just color special parts.

Here is an example using Skinstudio. Say you wanted to change the taskbar color. You would open SKS. Now open the skin you want. On the left look for "Edit startmenu and taskbar". Now "edit horizontial taskbars" When the window opens look at the top where it says :Horizontal Taskbar and click on the top one that says "Background. Go down to where you see "Edit Image" click that and it will open in your graphic program if you have one. You can edit that image to your liking, save it to your folder and put it in SKS at the same location. Do this by clicking the small button next to the edit image button and import it.

save your changes before applying them.

I have actually tried a little bit of what you have said, thinking it was exactly the case you spelled out, i.e., some skins can't recolor, of course I chose one that wouldn't! LOL Made me realize doing what you suggested was a lot more wrok I was willing to put into it just for some minor color changes... WIll do as you suggest and see what I come up with. Thanks again!

@gmc2, sage advice that I try to always practice.

EDIT: DaveBax, how are you able to tell, if at all, from looking at a skin at Wincustomize.com whether it allows you to recolor it or not? I've just looked at a couple of them and I see nothing that would indicate this ability either way. Is it just a matter of trial and error in picking one that will allow recoloring? Thanks.

Actually, it has been my experience that any skin WITH color will recolor to some degree.

Skins that are silver, black, gray or white are fairly well devoid of color and will not.
