Odd Problem - Need Help (Lcars Theme by Adam)

Howdy to all you GooRoo's!

Been working with Adam on this but we are both kinda stumped it seems.

I've downloaded his newest theme - LCARS Federation Net 3.02

It installs and loads up fine.
So from the Main desktop screen you click on Communications.
The desktop communications screen shows up with all the borders and such
But if you open something say Outlook..then close it, you will notice half the screen is missing.
Just odd cause everything thats missing is part of a Single BMP file. No reason for anything to just fade out or disappear. Everything works fine other then that odd problem.
I can also goto the properties and reselect the bmp and apply and it returns till i open something or switch screens again.

If anybody needs a screenshot of it i can upload it to my web page and supply a link.

System:
Windows XP pro
AMD XP 1.8Ghz CPU
1GB DDR RAM
Geforce3 64MB Video Card


Using DesktopX v1.93

Nope...as long as I leave some window open for more then 10 seconds...the upper half vanishes again.

I've tried 2 other computers and same thing.

ugh sooooo close to having this running smooth

Yeah i swapped it. Then just opened Internet explorer or Outlook or something and let it sit there for a few seconds...minimize or close. The upper half is gone again

Adam, just seen this thread and had the same problem.
After many different permutations, I cut the hailing frequencies bmp to fit between the top and bottom bars.
No problem thereafter. However, I am at a loss as to why the problem occurs.

I still see the animations you have for the tips of the DS9 station and the wurmhole in the area that vanishes still

Chinaman - so adjusting that BMP fixed the vanishing portions?

I'm running at 1280x1024 resolution if that really matters

No it does not appear to matter what resolution you are in.
The problem occurred at 1280 and 1400 [non standard] and also on a 1600 Itried.

Still is a great piece of work and the update offers several nice improvements. Well worth the hastle to solve the small problem.

Oh hehehe did you check the Warpfield animation under the 10 Foward section? still doesn't do anything for me with the version i have now. /ducks from teh flying boots!

I see a section of stars sitting there like a wallpaper..but thats it..and i haven't even attempted getting hte player to work yet hehe.

Something else you might want to look at too.

After running a game like Metal of honor all the animation buttons move out of place on me.

Probably from the change of resolution or something.
