go here: https://www.stardock.com/products/logonstudio/

install the software, download a logon, load it from Logon Studio and hit "apply".

You must be running WindowsXP for it to work (and if you are on a network, you must be on aa workgroup, not a domain)

I'm having the same problem. I downloaded some skins, now what? I try to click on the file, it opens Logon. Then I try to click 'load' on Logon, it does nothing. And I try to click every button on Logon, it still does nothing.

smalllee, I think I can help you. Some authors (me included) upload .ZIP files for various reasons. But the WC server changes the .ZIP file to .LOGONXP

As a result, the file you download is actually an archive file converted to a logonxp file. U can change the extension at the command prompt to .ZIP and then unzip it. I think this will be sufficient. If this doesn't work out, mail me the file or ur problem and I'll try to sort it out.

It is very easy, however, if u know a bit of DOS.

I followed your instructions and unzipped the file. What do I do next? How do I install the file? Please help!

Well, start the logonstudio from your program list.

On the panel, you will see a number of buttons: Load, delete, import, etc..

Click on load, browse to the logon file you want to use (i.e. the .LOGONXP file) and double click it. It will show in the list. Click OK and enjoy. The logon will be applied the next time you log off or log on.

That was my original attempt to load the 'logonxp' file thru Logon program, and it didn't work. The file doesn't appear on the list. After that I renamed the file as per your instructions to '.zip', eventhough the file is there, it doesn't appear on the list either. I'm giving up.

After renaming the file to zip, did you unzip the file? And the resulting logonxp file didn't work?

I think that he didn't unzip the file, sig101.

Unzip the file, it contains the logonxp files. Use any one as the logon file. You do not even have ur email in your info, or I would've sent u a standalone logonxp file. If u want that, post ur email with your screen resolution smalllee.
