Ok, I received a email with the words : you are using someone else work without permissions. please update your pack or we will have to delete it.

*SHOCKED*

The x-box cursor xp skin is MY skin, and I repeat, NO other work is used, this is 100% mine.
I think that in the time that I've been around here (at least I like to believe that) I was building on a reputation, that my work is clean, and honest. I would never EVER rip something.

Email them back and ask for an explanation. If you're not using anyone else's graphics, is it that it was "inspired" by another work? And perhaps they're requiring permission for that? I don't know if that's the deal or not but it may be?

That makes no sense to me. I downloaded and looked at the cursors and I did not see any problems.

no, I didn't 'inspired" it on a other cursor, well, yeah, exactly I did, on "alien skin" for cursor xp, and that one belongs to ME!
I did mail alexandrie back, but don't have a reply jet.

Styl Skinner, you will probably be waiting for awhile, alexandrie is too busy telling other people that their "own work" is someone else's work...case in point: Klatuu's Nightvision, just got the same rejection email after he had made a bug fix on Nightvision and waiting for it to be reuploaded and I sat here and watched him make this skin from scratch. And this rejection also was very vague.

I wonder if they said who's it looked like!!

Who actually is the one saying its not your work? is it a mistake or do they know something you don't?

Ok, prob. solved, they thought it was a copper deck rip (men thats a real compliment!) but it wasn't so they re-uploaded it.

Developer Swtnssss: I think you shouldn't say nothing if you are not Klatuu Berada, I am pretty sure HE knows what he did, so, please calm down and don't begin to judge the Admins actions.

Styl, just so you know, I compared yours to copperdeck when it was put back in moderation, and, though it has the same style as copperdeck, the graphics are very different. I believe that the style of it is what made the admins think that it was a rip. I am running your cursor set right now.

Hope you like it karmagirl, yes, the style is a bit the same, only when you look to it closely, you see its much smaller, and the green sphere isnt 'appart' its ON the cursor, by copperdeck its after the cursor. The 'metallic' point was my mistake, when you look closely you see its grey, with a a metallic piece above it. it didn't work out as I wanted, cuase the texture didn't fit and stuff. But it isn't a rip, I can asure you that.

Three things why I would never rip:
1: When you get kind comments on your cursor, you know you DESERVE them, and your skills are being appreciate it.
2: I think that people who rip dasn't have respect for the orriginal authors.
3: When I make a cursor my skills expand, Evry time I learn something new, and I wan't to get some skinning jobs in the future (HINT HINT ) so my skills have to get better.

BTW: if somebody would rip something of me, I would be pretty angry, but also a little bit honered in a sick way, it means your skins are worth to be ripped, people take VERRY LITTLE time and effort for it, and they wan't to show, with it, it means your skin is good. (I think)

All I have to say is that it is a shame that people have to defend themselves for using circles, squares, rectangles, and gradients, and any variation of the 3 primary colors without someone thinking it is their work. If anyone could copywright any of the above, they would be very rich indeed.

Swtnssss: a shape of a skin is made by circles, squares, rectangles, gradients and colors, yes, putting them together is called skin.

Once again, if you are not Klatuu, I would suggest you to not say what you are not aware of. If you still didn't get it, email me in privacy, because I don't want to expose him in public, this would not be good to nobody.
