Frozen fences

Cannot move, resize, delete, etc. fences

All my fences look perfectly normal until I try to do something to them. I cannot move, resize, delete, rename them or do anything to them. I can, however, create new a new fence, which is then also frozen. Folder portals are also frozen.

This is on Windows 10. I have uninstalled Fences, downloaded the latest version (2.13) and installed that - makes no difference.

Is there some setting in Configuration that I have inadvertently switched the wrong way?

Right-click a Fence, select View, and make sure 'Lock Fences' isn't checked.

I have the same problem. All fences are frozen!!

I have uninstalled Fences and installed it again but the fences are still frozen.

Me too on Windows 10.

Also, if you are using 360 Internet Security, that will cause a problem with Fences.

I have the same problem (Windows 10 and frozen, but unlocked, fences).  The interesting thing is that I have a second workstation with Windows 10 and the fences are working correctly.  I, too, am wondering if it is some setting in the Windows configuration

This tip from Island Dog fixed it for me - I had not noticed that setting there.

Thanks very much!

I am using 360 Total Security. Do you mean that I've to remove 360 Total Security?

Or do you mean that I have to remove Fences??

There is a compatibility issue with 360 Total Security. Try disabling it and see if Fences works.

I disabled the 360 total security. I restart the system (with 360 total security disabled) but it seems that fences are still not working.

I got curious about Fences 2.13 and noticed that the Windows 10 workstation that doesn't have frozen fences was up to date and the one that was being cranky was still back on 2.01 (bad maintenance on my part!).

I installed the 2.13 and now Fences is behaving correctly.

Don't know what this means for everyone who has already tried this and it didn't "thaw" out things.
