N00b Help with IPZ files

I'm very very new at this. I have no interest in learning to build this stuff. There are way
tooo many more talented folks out there that save me alot of time.

As for my question. I just got DesktopX and by some sheer dumb luck I installed the Pixtudio theme. Tho I noticed it didn't change things like Wimamp and ICQ and such. The screenshot shows they are part of the Theme..i'm probably wrong on that. So I downloaded the Pixtudio Winamp and ICQ and they end in .IPZ and I can't figure out how to import them or install them.

Any help be much appreciated

IPZ is the proprietary extension for ICQ Plus, (notice the Plus). ICQ Plus allows you apply skins to ICQ. All you have do is double click the file and it will install and apply the skin, IF you have installed ICQ Plus. You can download it here..... http://www.icqplus.org

will this sort of thing happen with all Themes? Will I have to modify other applications and software to match the theme?

Also where would be a good place to look for step by step stuff on how to do all this stuff?

Urlryn, I don't what you mean by "modify other applications" but to be able to skin things, the said things need to be made skinnable in the first place.
ICQ is not skinnable. You need to install ICQ Plus, which is a seperate program that makes ICQ skinnable.
On the other hand, Winamp is already a skinnable application. So you really just need to double-click on the skin file and apply the skin.
To skin Windows in general, you need Windowblinds. Etc. You need the applications that the skins were made for.

Thanks all.

I just saw this a few days ago and was curious about what it could do. I'm to busy to learn all the new stuff for skinning and so on. So was expecting this to work more like how the windows theme worked..just click and everything changes.

Who knows..maybe i'll just have to figure this stuff out...its pretty cool
