How do I play music files played through desktopx

I've downloaded two desktopx themes and both have the displays and controls for playing media files. i don't know how to get the files to play. I have started winamp and had files playing but still no good.

Any help yould be great.

If it's a winamp controller I think you need to open winamp first, but I'm not certain.
If it's the DX player, then what I do is right click on the DXplayer icon in the systray and click "playlist" at the top. Then browse to where the music files are and add them to the playlist.
I hope this helps, I'm no expert with these things.

The skin I downloaded, installed and am thouroughly enjoying is the Razor desktopx theme. I also tried the Blackcomb desktopx theme as well. I've opened winamp and had files playing while attempting to control the songs from the objects on the desktop. Still no luck.

I am very new to all this and just discovered this site. As such it could be something as simple as adding a bit of code to the object that it is currently missing and i just don't know it.

I thought I would post here as I could get a response without directly contacting the creator, as I am sure their time is better spent creating new skins....

Download the desktop X theme Plava by treetog. It has buttons for playing muic and from what I noticed if you double click on the play button it opens up winamp (winamp 2) and starts playing the song if there is one in the list.

if you also notice that the playing song shows up one the bottom next to all the controls.
