Plug-in Filter Help

I was trying to download new filters. The first one I tried gave me this weird error saying it might not be installed correctly or a file might be missing. Then I tried download a few other filters and they all kept saying the same thing. This is what I did to download the filter. I took the compressed file and saved it in my PSP7 folder and then extracted all to the Plug-in Filters folder. That's correct isnt it? Can anyone help?

For almost all high end and advanced plugins to work for PSP you need these DLL files...http://www.darkseraphim.com/PSPDLL.zip(I think you can just unzip them into your plugin directory or your Windows System Dir).

Good luck!

if it is an older *filter* it very well might not work with 7

Maybe. I don't have that filter and I have quite a few freebies so maybe it's too outdated...

shmoopy, dunno, but that link you posted might very well fix it

I'd question installing anything without information in the zip file though. Heck never know what kind of screwy thing could happen and you wouldn't even know it was the filter messing up PSP possibly..

And no worries. I've used those DLL files since PSP 6.0 and they work every time. They are my baby dll files. hehe

shmoopy you I would trust no matter what, I was meaning the filter and the adverse effects it might be able to do with PSP's filter ahdnling for other ones. I know that I once installed a filter into Photoshop that blew my settings for filters to heck and gone... couldn't figure out what had happened either because it ran fine for about five times and then BURRRP...

the filter didn't play nice ith 6.01 in the least

and all that was in it was that one file...
it was supposed to let you do a simulation of 3d text without any extra things... uh hu

no 3d text but a lot of colorful language

BigTL should go to that link where the filter is located and it should tell them where to put the file, not sure about PSP...

sorry everyone, I was trying to figure this stupid thing out, it really sucks when your in the middle of the filter then cant do it becuase you cant get the filter
Reply #20 Top
Yeah it do... shmoopy posted a link to the place where the filter is.. there might be info there...

I would think if you oh you know what?

I bet if you look, it added the filter in a directory/folder inside your filters foler with the sae name as the zip file
you might have to look and see if it did, and if so, move the file out of that folder and into your plugin folder

maybe?

worth a look
