When I open an app from the Universal Apps folder a shortcut to that app is automatically added to the start menu.

How can I change that behavior? I might be missing some setting, or is this a bug? Please note the screenshot that I added as an external link. The bottom four shortcuts in the start menu were added automatically when I opened those apps from the Universal Apps folder.

Thanks.

That would be normal as the area under that line is for the most frequently used applications in the same way it is under Windows 7.  There is a setting in Start10 to stop things showing there if you do not want that list.

Thanks but I have "show recently used applications" deselected. But recently used applications from the Universal Applications folder show up anyway. Other recently used applications do not show up.
