It works for me!  Also fixes the Chrome corrupted window "shade" issue in Chrome.

I just spotted WindowBlinds 8.1.3 on MajorGeeks, but showing Windows 10/8/7 compatibility! You may wish to correct the MajorGeeks entry concerning Windows 10 compatibility.

I've contacted MajorGeeks, thank you.

The installers sometimes have problems with locked files so I would uninstall, reboot and reinstall.

Will this version work for windows 10? I just renewed my obect desktop and iconpackger 5.10 won't install also are you going to upgrade them soon,I hope so or I wasted the money.

No, it does not work with Windows 10, it is version 8.13, not Windowblinds 10. Nor does IconPackager 5.10 work.

IconPackager doesn't install because it can cause serious damage to your OS. Those who have had it and tried to uninstall the program have reported such damage and it is difficult to repair. Windows 10 is far different from Windows 8.xx and that's why Windowblinds 8.13 will not work, the two are not compatible. When Windowblinds is ready for Win 10 it will be called Windowblinds 10.

The only thing I don't like about Windows 10 is it can not show images in thumb nail mode. It is very cool.
End of jagreen's quote

I don't have windows 10 but have been checking it out for some time now. I know you can see picture thumbs because I have seen it on a win 10 computer.

The thing I don't know is if the format your images are in is there a program on your computer that will associate with the format. EX: .jpg - .png.

Maybe this tutorial will help you in case it's just a setting. Not sure it will help but found it a ibt interesting

Windowblinds 10 is a work in progress at this time. Previous versions of Windowblinds will not work on Windows 10. As for the icon packs, if you are referring to Iconpackager it will not install on Windows 10 due to the fact that it has caused serious damage to the OS when trying to uninstall it. Here is a list of programs that are compatible with Windows 10.

I met the skins for windowblinds and the icons for iconpackager, because of how wondows 10 looks and is now, will those work when new versions both are ready?
End of jagreen's quote

If you go by all the past Microsoft OS versions I would say yes. It's possible a few images may have to be added but for the most part you can put a win 7 skin on win 8 and you won't see a difference. Maybe in a few places but not bad.

Most likely one of the reasons it's taking a while to get Windowblinds 10 completed. Only time will tell but if it can be done Stardock will do it. I'm sure they are working on it on a regular basis.

Object Desktop Manager
will NOT install

WindowBlinds 8.13, DeskScapes 8 or Fences 2

OR even give an option to instill this FencesĀ® 3 - 2.90.0 [Beta]

It says it is installing then I get the "NEXT" button

then, nothing, they are not in the list to be Launched..

Just

DeskScapes 3.50.039

WindowBlinds 7.41.1  Yet the one I have installed in the WB interface says it's 7.42 (325 - Windows 7 Edition)

Fences PRO 1.1.0.419 is not even in the list Nor any Fences.. I have Fences PRO 1.1.0.419 installed..

You should download the programs individually. ODM, the desktop manager is somewhat buggy. I should know, it screwed up my laptop. If you're running Win 7 the Windowblinds version you listed is legacy. If you want to install the latest version, 8.13, make sure you uninstall the old version first, use CCleaner to find and take out any left over files then reboot. Install Windowblinds 8.13 and reboot again. Do this for both Deskscapes and Fences. Rebooting after the install allows Windows to recognize the programs and their file types. If you're running Windows 8.xx the process is the same.

How long will it be before window blinds and icon packager are ready for windows 10? Lightstar thank you for your answers on the other thing. I noticed with windows 10 that the task bar will change color with a wallpaper but the frames don not. seems kind of odd.

WindowBlinds 10 is still in development, but I don't have a timeline to give.
