Feature Suggestion: using smartphones as secondary PC

Few days ago Microsoft announced the Display Dock (aka Continuum): http://www.theverge.com/2015/10/6/9453577/microsoft-display-dock-announced-price-release-date-continuum.

I'm not sold on the "just connect a keyboard and monitor to your smartphone and you'll have a pc" concept for, at least, a couple of reasons:

1) A laptop, having embedded keyboard and monitor can be really used everywhere (from a starbuck store, from an airport, etc) differently from Continuum.
2) A smartphone is not powerful enough to do several things i need to do daily with my laptop.

Anyway the continuum concept show us that smartphones are powerfull enough to work as a replacement of a pc at least for few applications (web browsing, mail, office, watching videos, etc) and this power usually lay wasted in our pockets while we're at work using our pc.

A really interesting usage of Multiplicity would be to allow users to control smartphone "like continuum" as a secondary pc from our laptop KVM, in this way one could use less demanding application said above directly from the smartphone, leaving the precious CPU & RAM of our laptop free to do more demanding tasks.

I've no idea if this is feasible, it's just a wish i have and it seemed a good idea to share here.
