Shell Styles Support

Could someone please either explain or point me in the right direction about Shell Styles Support. Have OD so I do have the WB4 Beta. Just not sure what it does. Also, something is driving me up the wall. I am consumed by it. Here goes.... WinXP -- Windows Explorer -- right pane -- had a shadowed text (white with black shadow/background) appears only under the icons or the thumbnails. Think I lost it when I installed the WB4 Beta. Anyone know how I can get this back. I have tried everything I know how. Thanks.

Go to Control Panel - Display - Appearance - Advanced. In the "XP Overrides" top right, check "Always use the shellstyle defined in" Box. Choose a WB Skin that supports shellstyles. For your personal you can mix and match with the older style WBlinds. Can not help with your other concern i'm afraid.

Thanks, Ande. But what is the purpose? What does it do, appearance wise?

It allows skinners to change the color and graphics of the left panel in Windows Explorer.
Load the skin "Blackcomb" and you should see the difference.
