I need help with uploading my walls. Please help.

Hello everyone. Im a new guy around this site and i just made a cool wallpaper(at least i think its cool) and i want to upload it. So i go to the upload screen. I put in all the required information and then hit "upload". Then after a good minute the "Page cannot be displayed" page pops up. I tried alot of things to get this to work but it never does! Anyone please! Help a new guy!

Try later. They are very picky about walls that are put online. The policy is only the best walls are shown. Using filters will more than likely get a thumbs down. The monitors sent me an email when my wall got rejected so server busy is not a rejection notice.

It's not so much the filters used it's the overall wall looking good. Trust me I've had many moderated which I though were cool and it didn't have anything to do with what I though about them. I've been fairly lucky the last few times but that's probably because I'm getting better at all this.....just keep trying and don't despair when you think your best has been denied it can only make you try harder to make something that will be uploaded.......but make something you enjoy and take pleasure making.

Mattboy,

I think what Ms. Delisious was referring to us something called 'fiter frenzy'. This is when an 'artist' creates a very simple image and applies endless filters to it. The reason they're frowned upon (and won't make it past the admins) is that they show no creativity. This doesn't mean that filters, per-se, are frowned upon. Careful use of them [filters] can enhance the appearance of an image.

mattboy...
'Schmeltzer' didn't make it, I'm afraid.
I think it's a difference in interpretation of 'all gung-ho'.
The lens-flare filter is such a 'groovy effect' that it gets used and abused by everyone just starting out and exploring their graphics proggy.
It has a 'gee-whiz' factor about it, like much of the early attempts in Bryce and similar.
The new person goes 'wow'...the old hand goes 'Dear God, not again'.

Walls submitted to Wincustomize.com are 'moderated', which means that not every wall is accepted. In fact, only about 10% are accepted at best.

Don't be discouraged, just keep at it...

That wall as Jafo has stated time and time again is the definitive of what awall should "NOT" look like. I must admit for it's hanus appearance it has quite a few downloads and the rating is ridiculous.....

Good attitude mattboy.

I went round and round with the admins about filters in other threads and learned, Filter = bad, Layers = Good.

Thought I would share that

Good luck on your creations and hope to see one online soon.
