Just changing window background color

Hi, I've just bought WindowBlinds and I'm sure it will be useful, but I have a basic question about using it on Windows 7.

What I want it for is to keep a standard aero theme and just change the white backgrounds of Windows Explorer and applications in general. To just change the white in each case to a very pale cream or anything easier on my eyes. I'm happy for everything else to stay the same.

I've found out that I can change the main pane in Windows Explorer which is a start, but so far that's the only background change that seems available while using an aero theme.

Is it even possible while using an Aero theme to change the background colors of applications generally?
