Just the sort of stuff that Dangeruss is into...
Russ does it equally well, if not better...

I ran into this awhile back when I was hunting down free 3D progs, pretty cool.

I think I got to move myself to that section to, en get of this 'abstract' crab, on a abstract wall you work 10 minutes, and 2 hour rendering, I was trying to make my watch, it isn't done yet, and am working now for 2 days on it, I will upload it when its ready. I think this kind of 3d moddeling is real art, but let me check dangeruss stuff. (I did seen his scorpion, that one is great!)

An older example of Russ's work. The original would be on his site...

I was just thumbing through Catalyst magazine and drooling over Alias/Wavefront's Studio Tools 10 until I saw the price - $7,500.

Makes Rhino at $750 look pretty cheap.

Yeah, that look pretty good indeed,
only a waste of the motion blur
Gues I have a long road too go...

I think Russ mentioned using tools like these mentioned above, in an interview I read somewhere, Lucky Dog

One day, I will too.

And if you thought Jake's Lights were something to see, just wait, - maybe ten/fifteen years

Whoops

Better make that Cadalyst Magazine at www.cadalyst.com

So anyway, as I was saying....

Styl, you should check out Pixologic.com http://pixologic.com/ web site and also Renderosity.com http://renderosity.com/

DangeRuss is, well, one of my graphics idols, I do not have many I look up to, a couple on this site, on a couple of other sites, and DangeRuss of course. but even those others do not hold the same level of awe and respect for me that DangeRuss does...

though, many many fantastic artists out there for sure...

I've a Frog on a leaf I am thinking of emailing to Frogboy, it's a 3D that someone did that looks as if it is ready to jump, and Amazonian Arrowhead Tree Frog, beautiful, and also another of a Turkish warrior who looks as if he is going to pull his sword and start hacking his way out of the monitor, or sick his 6000 lb Lizard on you

browse around those two sites and you will see some fantastic work. very good inspirational work and goal setting mantra for some

I remember Cadalyst mag, I used to run a BBS called CADaddicts MCBCS and that was one of the most popular mags, that and Intergraphcis...

Started out with RBBS, move to PCBoard and then Maximus CBCS, ran Wildcat for a bit, but, I liked Maximus more, and was actually a hub for FIDO for a little while...

RocketPORT!! Digiboards, HST's and rollover lines... my wife pretty much hated me then

well not me, but my computer room and everything in it... that and meeting people from the board got old for her also, though I got to meat and make some fantastic friends with like interests in engineering, robotics and technologies...

geesh, that was starting in 1987 up to 1994...

anyway...

Personaly I think 7500 is a little bit expensive for a 3d program... 2 bad santa dasn't exist...
that depends on your needs I would think...

Catia and UniGraphics can cost well over $100,000 when you add on all the possible
additions to it....

for the home user looking to learn, Poswer, Bryce, and a number of other lower end lower priced programs are there, and they can produce quality 3D with skill learned over a period of time making use of them...

sooo

ZBrush @ 399.00 Euro, which is the same as the US$ pretty much is not to high a price for the program by far....

One of my fav's right up there with DangeRuss in my opinion, though DangeRuss is tops in my opinion...

Stevie-rae Townsend: http://209.132.69.82/showcase/getthumbs.shtml?0_Modeling&includeprefix=fury_&linkall

ZBrush is a extreamly fantastic 3D application which could very well call for double the price and still sell just as much as it does now. Yet they keep it in the upper low to lower medium price range because they are happy with the ROI in producing it and the community that has grown from it's use..

nice wheels too...

have to share when it's finished, or now during the stages if your comfy with doing that

it gets to be a passion, then an obsession and then a trail and back to a passion, art is sooooooo invigorating !!

3ds/3d max and autocad will make those easy. Only if you know how to use them I'm working on getting to that level also. I got Autocad to design my inventions that I've designed but that's how far they got. I haven't gotten around to put them to computer or take them to development. I guess I'm a slacker. But once I start on autocad the things I plann on making on there will be amazing Swing!
