Hide taskbar - Adobe Illustrator

I have my taskbar hidden at the top of the screen which works fine except for when I open Adobe illustrator CC 15, the taskbar is hidden until I acces it then comes out of hiding and will not go back even when I close Illustrator, unhide and rehide, close all notifications. I am writing this with the taskbar unhidden otherwise I cannot access the tabs of my browser. I have to restart to get it to hide again, any ideas?
