Intended or bug on my end? (Tech cost of Large Hulls).

Good morning. I am playing on 1.2 opt in and I just did a new install of both steam and game and Win 10. Game runs smooth and had no issues. I have had some odd graphical errors like Hives being 24154582657 turns but after 2 or 3 turns it gets built.

 

I do have one that stands out. I am in Age of War playing a custom faction using the Thalan Tech tree. I have 11 planets and only two research focused planets but it seems to be enough. All techs are about 5 to 6 turn at this point which is fine. Hapoons, Disrupters, and Trerraforming all all 6 turns. However when I got to large Hulls it was 46 turns. I was shocked and thought it was some bug. I clicked turn and it dropped to 39. So I bought the last research building on Research prime and focused it fully on research. My over all tech went UP by about 48 points. When I hit turn again the turn countdown for Large Hulls went UP to 41!

 

Seems some techs have had a significant increase in 1.2.

So Age of war  LARGE hull size is 57 turns. Disrupters are 17 turns and Harpoons 14 turns. It appears that 'critical' upgrade techs are costing more. This is not the case it appears for defenses. While I am not at all upset over the change, it was a surprise. The ai seems to know the value of LARGE hulls and was nearly willing to give me 5 or 6 techs in the same tier for it.

 

Do I like the Altarians enough to give them that edge?
