Start 10
Links
I just purchased Start 10 and would like to know why none of my menu links won't work in Windows 10.
Stardock will be closed for the week starting on Monday, June 29th and we will be returning on Monday, July 6th. We will be monitoring support tickets and forums during this time but expect delays in responses during this time.

The ones on the right hand side?
The links in the All Program section don't have their icons, it shows only a blank icon, I can fix it by changing the Read permissions for the link, but I have quite a few
programs and this would take a lot of time. Do you have a fix for this?
Thank you for you time.
Was this an upgrade of Win10 or a clean install?
It sounds like that's a local configuration issue and if that's an upgrade install I suspect the Win10 upgrade did not go 100% smoothly. What are you changing for the read permissions?
If you right click on the all programs button and select open and open all users (it may be that one which shows the issue), do you have a similar issue?
The error I get is "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one
is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel". To fix this I right click and click on properties, then
I go to the Security Tab and select Advanced. I select the Permissions Tab and click on Continue. Under owner I select Change, I then enter an
Object name and click on Ok. I then close all of the dialogs and again open up the properties for the .lnk that isn't working. I select the
Security Tab and click on the Edit button. I then change the permission for the .lnk file and press OK and close all of the dialogs. After all
of this the link works. GO FIGURE, I have even tried Classic Shell I have the same issues. Do you have any ideas on how to make this easier.
Thank you for your time.
This was an upgrade, I forgot to tell you in the previous reply.
You may be able to reset permissions on the entire folders, but it certainly sounds like the Microsoft update process did not go fully to plan. Unfortunately that's always a risk with a brand new operating system.
It won't let me change permissions on folder only .lnk files, besides this I kind of like Windows 10, thanks for your help.
