XP Power Toys

Just in case you didn't know they were there, like me
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

My favorite is the magnifier for the taskbar.

I've been using the Powertoys since the good old win95 days
X-mouse and "menu show speed" are the only ones I use atm
Imo, they *should* be a part of the Windows installer!

I like the Alt-Tab Replacement. It makes everything look much fancier.

I wonder if the virtual desktops that are listed have been copied from Stardock.

they aren't as good... and I had alot of trouble with them... (the Virt Desk. I mean) but the Mp3 player power toy was cool... but now it is built in Wmp9 so whooo hoooo... TwaekUi is my fav... done alot of cool things with it... and I never had to edit the registry once... you may also want to look for the Internet Explorer Power Toys... they let you zoom in on pictures and such... a lot of cool toys there... Im running the IE 5 power toys with my IE6 and they run great...

I also used the 5.5 IE plugins on 6.0. I don't have them installed now but used the heck out of the view partial source it had.

The Alt-Tab replacement is really sweet - but with some WB skins it just looks like /crap/. (I never think of setting it up as a per-app exclusion.)

It's also always been kinda slow for me too. :/ Lately, I've been using SharpE's little Alt-tab replacement too. Nifty - but not /as/ nifty.

kthxbye: On WindowBlinds 4, it seems that it's automatically excluded.
