some buildings cant be built

so, ive just built my archery range, however the bastion which is supposed to be unlocked is not available in my building options, same goes for the one which would allow me to recruit battle mages, and spearmen, I mean I cant unlock the advanced units, except for the paladin

anyone else having this issue?

Some of those buildings are sovereign specific. We're going through some of the improvement descriptions to make that more obvious
