Adding Shut Down and StartUp Sounds

How can I add the stated sounds to skins already created for my own use. I have two sounds I lke to use but they don't work when I apply skins. Much appreciated.

WindowBlinds only supports sounds for titlebar buttons. You have to use Sounds and Audio Devices in your Control Panel to adjust startup and shutdown sounds.

Control panel -> sounds and audio devices -> sounds -> and I believe it's 'open program' and 'close program'.

Just click on one of the two and then hit browse on the bottom right, choose it from wherever it's located, hit okay and then apply.

Whoops, you said startup and shutdown sounds.

In that case it would be 'exit windows' and 'start windows'.

I know about changing them in Windows it's just that when I apply a wb skin these two don't work. The email notice and empty trash do but the shutdown and restart don't in XP. They work in 98. Well thanks.

Do these two sounds work when you aren't using a Windowblinds skin?
If I understand you correctly, you're saying that when you apply a WB skin - the sounds... stop working? O.o

Yes the sounds stop working when I use a WB skin. I have a dual boot set up with 98 & XP. On the 98 the sounds work great but when I try to use themin XP they don't work.
