I'm not in windows at the moment - so I can't give you the exact directions to do so - but it's in your display settings - on the.. ugh.. desktop tab I do believe? There's a setting with checkboxes to decide what to or not to show on the desktop - and I'm fairly sure that the recycle bin is there?

Don't remember offhand - like I said, not in XP atm. ^_^

Unfortunatley, Recycle Bin is not one of those desktop icons that XP lets you hide. The only way to hide it, that I know of, is to hide all of your desktop icons. Right click on your desktop, go to "Arrange icons by", and uncheck "Show desktop icons".

jam_uk...If you are using XP Pro do this

start > run > gpedit.msc
User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Desktop > double click "Remove Recycle Bin From Desktop" on the right, then set to "enabled" and click OK
