"IE Opera" has been renamed to "Avant Browser"

In case anyone is interested
http://www.avantbrowser.com/index.html
Less than 1mg doesn't seem like it would be a good browser but it has a popup stopper, google search and tabbed interface.

ad-aware doesn't flip out on the internal Google search engine in IE Opera?

I seen this browser on a tech segment on the local news and they said the browser has no spyware.

Well it's small size is understandable if the browser just uses the existing and installed IE web browser control

Oh that would makes sense.

I just did a experiment on what ads were installed and seems there was a couple from the browser but most of what ad aware found were protected cookies from this site which adaware labeled bugs.

Ad-aware still found the darn xuipter. I can not get rid of that thing. Xuipter has risen to the status of a virus IMO

Opera was a kick-a$$ browser. It just didn't support certain web Langs so I didn't use it that much. Plus I think it had it's own fav list instead of using the IE fav.
Thanks for the update Delicious

It is SpyBot Search&Destroy... ad-aware will claim it got ride of it, but misses a key thing somewhere so it reinstalls tiself on you, again and again, and ....

SbS&D will clean your system up...

I like MyIE better. It has a ton of great features and is freeware. It uses the IE engine, has tabbed browsing, and is skinnable. Here is a link if anyone wants to try it out. http://www.ruihehang.com/myie2/index.htm

Thanks for the link, IPlural. That is one program I never heard of. I use to use SpyBlocker which was fantastic but didn't work well with XP firewall so every now and then I run adaware.

I want to mention a mentionable thing. Before I got a PC I was conditioned in believing that nothing was free.
When I seen programs online for download and they were free it seemed out of the ordinary that in a greedy world there would be something that was free.
It took me some time to comprehend that they were really free. I thought wow if the real world was like the online world then maybe God might just crack a smile every now and then.
Over time I learned that not everything online was free because even though it is a virtual world it is still full of real world's greedy ppl that try to make it more like the "Nothing is Free" attitude.
There is a point to my ramblings however the download just finished and made me forget where I was going..

More to come after C(_)
