Frogboy, I was just curious ...

In all Stardock's past vision planning did you ever think you'd see the day that companies like NVidia and Nintendo would be working with excellent skinners like Treetog and Alexandrie to distribute skins? Heck did you ever think you'd see the day that the same skinners were selling premium skin suites?

Personally I think it's a great testament to the excellent software your company is creating and applaud you on the excellent work you do, along with the excellent service and support you provide to your customers.

Kudos to Stardock and continued congrats for all the success you and Pixtudio have had ... late

I'm not Frogboy (at least I wasn't the last time I checked) but I am one of the Stardockians.

Thank you for your kind words about our company.

It's quite nice seeing skinners successfully selling their art. They have put years of work into getting to that point, and I think that it has paid off.

This year should be a good year: WindowBlinds 4 and Stardock Central!

I think it's very exciting to see people in the community being able to be commercially succesful in the customization world. It really opens the door to talented people all over the world.

It also shows off the really international nature of the "new economy". Treetog is in Brazil. Alexandrie is in Canada. Yet they came together, never having met, and have put together a successful company.

It's very exciting. Thanks for the kind words!

Interesting thought comes to mind. Karmagirl expresses thanks for the kind words about their company (Stardock). The sense of community and caring from SD comes out so often (witness the frog's question to the community about WB4 and XP in the newsgroup) that I sometimes forget that my subscription is payment to a company for goods and services. It seems more like membership dues in a favorite club!

/me just pays this years dues.

And all this is really what makes me mad about all ranting that is going on from time to time about Stardock.

three mind set's maybe?

1: bought something so in the end you *owe* me anything and everything

2: see the possibilities and the feeling of belonging to something still
in it's early stages and want to be a part of it, purchases are more like
dues as was suggested in this thread by others.

3: same as two but still wondering if what they have discovered for themselves
is real or imagined and only time with the software, the company and the others
who do give of themselves freely to help those needing, opens their eyes to the
reality of it...

dunno?

I'm a morphing 3 to 2 myself
Give it a bit and maybe the hard-shell between my ears will finally drop off

c242, you will find that the people who complain the most about Stardock have never actually purchased anything *or* they had something go wrong and never gave us a chance to fix it.

We listen to all feedback from people (good or bad) so that we can constantly improve our products. But, it is the people who express how much they like our products/company that keep us going.

So, I really mean it when I say "thank you" for your kind words. It's what keeps us excited about what we are doing!

Hi!

and I especially like the way you keep improving the products.... you guys could just sit and collect money off of windowblinds and desktop x the way they are, but you don't... you keep striving to make these products better... for us.... And I appreciate that, that is why I still have an object desktop subscription. And also I want to thank Stardock for Wincustomize because with out it I never would have met all of these wonderfull people, and I never would have been able to buy their skin suites, and joke around with them about everything and anything in these message boards...

da_zman20: Alexandrie and me are recieving lots of emails requesting that, so now we are considering to update Logika and UniverseMetal wb skins, but the thing is, we are not sure when this will happen, since we are quite load of work, but we will do our best to make them soon.
