Omar Sharif, best known for the characters he portrayed in "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Dr. Zhivago", and even played opposite Streisand in "Funny Girl" has died at age 83.
He was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease earlier this year, but the immediate cause of death was a heart attack he sustained while in his native Cairo.
Thanks for the great acting...and rest in peace, Omar Sharif.
83 years ... when I told my mom, she said she thought he was gone already. I said, well people probably think you're gone too...and you're 88!
