I've drooled profusely over the thought of owning Photoshop, why I would settle for 5.0

Yes...but it is important to note that it is an example of what not to do....

BTW...that was done with...
Bryce
PaintShop Pro
Xara 3D

and...

Thanks to Photoshop 5.0 for the lens-flare....

Drool, slurb, drool

Your barking up the wrong tree with Bryce, it can be a dead ender in most cases

Some people use Bryce well...the same can be said for Photoshop, naturally.

BOTH require time to 'master'....

Also PSP7 can do a good wall.

well im gonna sit with a tutorial and spend a few hours trying to "master" it

Bryce to me was kinda like fractal generators in that they are overused, but yes, in the hands of a master, can produce excellent results. I played with fractals for sometime before I was able to produce some pretty unique pieces, yet they still looked like fractals.

I do use PSP 7 AE though.

Hmmmm?

Dark Mist...yes...but the program is merely a tool.
A craftsman can carve a sculpture with a chainsaw....but most people only ever manage to cut off a leg.

im cutting everything off.....my last upload been rejected yet...wanna make it 4 in a row

I spent over a year learning an obscure mathematical tool to create a few simple designs.

Dark Mist, plan on a few years with your Photoshop, and then ask about standards and meeting them here, right now your just insulting everybody.

i've had it for 2 and a half years!! don't make me out as someone im not, all i want to know is that im not wasting time when i can get software to do what i need it too....chill out abit

Many artists here have had years and decades of practise and experience....eg, I drew my first nude in 1970....and my first watercolours in 1972.

And...

You never stop learning...

My humblest apologies to you both, I spoke out of turn.

jake...Dark Mist isn't 'insulting everybody', he's just unaware of the constraintes we place on wallpaper submissions here, that's all...

thats my point..i want to learn and how better to do it than learn from people who know what they doing.......thats why im here, the work you come out with it really something, i dont want to give the wrong impression or patronise i just want to get to the point and start producing
