See this thread for your answer: How long does it take for a file to be added in the newest additions ?

It will take a while. Hang loose. Might be a day or two or as little as a few more hours.

Prepare yourself however they could be rejected.
I just had one rejected, and it happens, I will re-upload in a week or so , no biggie

jake11...reuploading the same wall is a pointless exercise...
i wouldn't mind but with the rubbish software i have im finding it hard to create etc
Reply #7 Top
don't fancy getting rejected twice in a row

Hi Jafo,
I thought as much, I should have said I will re-upload something fresher

what software you use? im new to all this...if you hadn't already guessed

Dark Mist...it looks more like you ran out of filters to use, not out of inspiration.

Some things that do not usually get accepted...
1....swirling an existing image.
2...Lens-flares.
3...Dodge/burn/chrome filters.

I think that caters for 3 out of four, unfortunately...

My philosophy is: Use what you got, learn it well and draw from your heart

If the fourth is accepted you'll receive notification automatically via email...

I am starting to get the idea that Jafo doesn't like filters

Are not Gel buttons and that glassy look nothing more than a filter and thoes make everyone smile.

What software are you using Dark Mist?
oh bugger, i've no idea where to get filters etc im just using what came with my photoshop
Reply #16 Top
photoshop 7 and will be getting adobe illustrator soon

Delicious - Gel buttons and Glassy stuff is usually done with a lot of layers, not filters.

I never did like filters except in intolerable situations when they might save a piece from the trash bin, plus the good ones cost money

jafo...you know something about my uploads i dont
Reply #20 Top
Delicious...it'sthe 'proficiency' of their use.
For example, it is extremely rare for a lens-flare to work well in an image. Imitating the photographic medium seldom works....eyes don't 'lens-flare'...

Yes, I am one of the people who is responsible for accepting/rejecting submissions...

Photoshop 7? How can you call that rubbish software? That's the cream of the crop. Illustrator is mainly for vector graphics and gets used mostly for 4-color work or product illustration, page design, stuff like that. Photoshop is the best tool there is for wallpapers and doesn't need any filters to make it work better. It's already got too many filters in it right out of the box...

I use Photoshop 6 (can't afford 7)

This is a generated example of many things in a wall that are NOT going to result in an accepted wallpaper.

I have a few more to add...eg, 'harsh contrasts' which distract...but many of the 'classic' errors are there...
