So it is self evident that Monty Python is well liked, how about Eddie Izzard?

I think that Eddie Izzard would have made a real contribution to the Circus. I dun no, Brit humor is brilliant in so many respects, it is almost as if they allow themselves to admit and speak their mind on such topics that most would cringe from.

anyway... was just wondering

Action transvestive!! Run, jump, climb trees, just lok fabulous doing it.
Eddie's got to be my favourite modern comedian; just a very surreal sense of humour, suit me perfectly.

Jess, IPlural, Eddie may be Exective Transvestite now, but back when he was talking about joining the Armu he referred to himself as "Action Transvestive" hence my quote. But (sorry Jafo) fair play to you chaps; most Americans don't understand his humour.

true think he actually uses both phrases in the Dressed to Kill show hehe.

Really, wouldn't have imagined that, silly man...

, well guess I'm not most

Then again not all can laugh at most everything I guess. I mean look how many become defensive when you mention GWB, Clinton, the Civil War, the rape of the land by the white man and theft of it from the people (indians)...

Personally I find a lot of humor ni the double standards and all of the rest, he is just brilliant in his presentation and is not afraid to present it

Besides, if you can't find the humor in most everything, then the lack of humanity in it could very well drive you celibrate with a World War.

I have Dressed To Kill, Glrious and will be getting Definite Article and Unrepeatable.

Liked Benny also, but Eddie has a wit about him and he thinks and it shows.

BlackAdder is/was a kick also...

BBC is really the only other channel I watch on the tube other than educational channels. The rest is so moot, if there was/is a Brady Bunch they locked them away in an undisclosed location to be placed in a time capsule in the off chance Aliens land and we need to freak themout or bore them to death.

mmm, though I must admit, I do like ScFi, good ScFi or outraigously funny ScFi.

anyway....

yep Jess he does do that, did you know he doesn't wrtie his material down in scripted form for his live shows, he just flows with how he feels he is being pulled

One of the reasons I think/feel he would have been great as a member of the Flying Circus and Monty Python troop... would have fit so well

He did appear as "the lost member" of Monty Python on a reunion special several years ago, and was promptly told to p!$$ off, IIRC!
