Recycle Bin Question

I used to be able to remove the Recycle Bin icon off the desktop with Tweak. Not so with the new Powertoys Tweak. Is there a way please.

If you Right click on your desktop and choose Arrange Icons By and uncheck Show Desktop Icons, they will all go away including the Recycle Bin. However you might find that this enables Acive Desktop, which is probably worse than having the Recycle Bin.... Microsoft at it's finest...

There is away... I am assuming that you are using XP... now I use XP Pro and can not be sure this will work on the Home version. You will have to definitely be logged on as administrator and on the run command type "gpedit.msc" this will launch the group policy editor. expand "administrative Templates" and chose "desktop" you will see on the right handside and option to "remove recycle bin icon from desktop" this works great and no need to enable the still buggy active desktop.

gpedit.msc is, unfortunately, not included in XP Home.
