Windlinds and Norton Firewall 2003

I have Norton Firewall 2003 and when the dialog box pops up for Firewall (like update or if someone is trying to hack into my computer) the box comes up and then I cant see anything in it. I cant click on ok or close. It makes my computer lag too. When I change the skin back to the Windows Default I can then see the stuff in the dialog box and can click on OK. Help me fix this problem. I told winblinds not to skin Norton Firewall too and it still doesnt work.

Try 'telling' WB not to skin any of the exe's in the Norton Folder...there is possibly another that is still trying to be skinned...

Nice one Slitzer, that one has been bugging the poop out of me for AGES! hopefully that will sort out the problem
for people just trying to work out the problem the file is located in: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared

mmmm, curious, I guess I got lucky because WB and NIS have been playing nice nice forever without exclusion...

Yeah, nothing by Norton's plays nice with WB... you have to exclude them.

I'm finding all my Symantec apps (NIS, NAV, NU) work great with the WB4 alpha.

nope not excluded and skinned too...
including the alert tracker slide out, except for the Norton Globe which stays the same...

Like I said, works fine for some reason.

Hmmmmm... I already had them excluded so I haven't bothered to see if they work with WB4 alpha...

NIS and NAV do not skin inside the window, still the urin-yellow bar at the top and old white bag and norton yellow-white gradiant banner on the lower part, but it is skinned and works fine.

thanks, I want to stay as far from the knife as I can, but I also do not want to get stuck in this rut of anything but.

I mean, why put up with another year or two of this if in the end they have to cut anway?

Hope your bud does all right with it, my brother had his neck an a partial discectomy(spelling) in his lumbar region. Lower back is ok, but the two plates and screws where they did the fusion in two places in his neck have cause some kind of reaction that happens in a low percetage of people. He now has to wear these stapes on his forarms and is going to start taking some kind of shot for it. Said it hurts kind of like Tennis Elbow or something?

thanks again, it'll be ok, hell I wouldn't even be messing with it if it wasn't getting in the way of things

I hate Doctors like fleas, mainly because I do not like to be touched except by wife wife and kids. I actually knocked this therapist on his butt, dotted his eye, I had got up and went to the can and when I walked back into his office he got up took two steps to me and started hugging me, I popped him and then apologised. He said he though I needed a hug cause of some stuff we had been talking about, told him he'd need a gurney if he ever tired it again, that was his free shot

lol

seriously though, it just pain and for the most part it can be disasociated, put over across the room so it's less than a dull roar mostly.
