Changing the WindowsXP Startup Graphic..

does anyone know what i have to edit to change the Startup and Shudown Graphics on Windows XP..

i know on Windows 9x it was logo.sys..but that file isnt in Windows XP..so would someone be able to help me please..

You may be able to find some info here http://www.virtualplastic.org/ but you're talking scary stuff, IMHO.

Erm - actually it involves hacking the ntoskrnl.exe.

that would be the NT Kernel, basically, yes. Not for the weak of heart.

I did it -once- in 2K - but just don't find it worth it with XP.

lol i did it for my 98 box, lol i though he meant logon screen, hehe no the changing of the boot screen is NOT for the week of heart had to replace my kernel manually in dos, thank god i backed everything else before starting.
