Good Job on new debt system

Just tried the Beta 4 (warren buffet). This new Debt system is an amazing fix and make perfect sense with reality.

Good work on that.

I have a question about the debt of people we buy out. Do we acquire their debt and cash in hand? I always too busy while playing to notice it...

you dont acquire another companies debt, funds or resources. Only their HQs, structures and tiles and in beta 4 your company alone will be able to research patents that they researched before you.

Would not it make sense to acquire all their resources, cash and debts. Just like in real life.

I dont see the issue of the debt, if someone buy a company with a lot of debt there might still be value to do it and if no one want to buy the player, if his stock drop to 0$ value, the player is bankrupt and all his HQ and claims value could be sold in a public auction.

I think that makes more sense too.

I think the stock price of a company should be a lot more representative of their value in resources cash and structures rather than HQ level and debt x5 because as it stands right now the cost of buying a company is only like 10-40% depending on the stock situation. Imo HQ value should be lower.
