Tell you what, someone of those people were gluttons for pain!

One guy " Kangaroo Kid" has attempted to jump this house boat three times, and wiped out each time! He was laying on the ground with a dislocated hip and already talking about the next time

Oh and they had this drag race where the rail on the outside lost control and cut back to the inside, the guy on the inside popped his shute to back off and be missed, but got hit anyway, there was a camera right up against the railing the cars wiped out. Wild perspective.

Some Rodeo mis-haps also, hands caught in rigging and being bounced off the gates and stepped on, one horse sat on a guy, and they all jumped up and ran off after they got loose, and went on to finish the Rodeo

We breed 'em tough down-under...

There was a cyclist in one stage road-race who pranged, but got back on and continued to the end of the stage...another 100 miles.
He complained he was a bit 'sore', had an x-ray and discovered he had a broken pelvis.
Doctors 'excluded' him from continuing....

good thing that cyclist wasn't in Texas. our docs would order him to "cowboy up" and stop complaining, wrap him up tight in some duct tape, and put him back on the bike.

Down under has always been a fascinating place to me, I would like to visit sometime. But I also know it's history, and what it was used for, which makes all those who live there now, a truly remarkable people for what they have done to make it habitable and into a continent of such renown....

jake...it ain't quite that remarkable...it's just like Yankeeland, only emptier.
We have a lot of 'big stuff' too, though.
If a Texan gets all 'uppity' about how big his state is in the US, we take him aside and explain we have a single station [ranch] in Australia larger than his entire state...OK, so 'head of cattle' might be gauged at 'square miles per head',rather than 'X per acre', but it's big...[and empty]...

thank you Jake, but thats Boomer's dad, I am working on getting my office together and once finished I am going to get a pic of Boomer sitting in his favorite chair "MINE!"

Boomer is looking more and more like his father everyday as he gets older, he's now 8 months old with a personality as large as a house and contrary as a jackass
