WinCusto Browser Question...

I downloaded the WinCustomize Browser Demo to try it out...and I could not get it to work. There are numerous issues I noticed.

1. It does not download the news/updates, it will sit there for 10 mins until I get a timeout message.
2. While the browser is running, it freezes up my network connection. ie: I cannot broswe the web until I close the browser.
3. After re-installing twice, still the same errors, any ideas?

I have a 768k DSL Connection.

Don't know anything about the shareware version. Maybe someone that uses it can help.

I had that once. It was due to running Seti client at the same time. If you are, exit Seti while using WCBrowser, if not - pass...

I hope you get this figured out Husipoo! I couldn't get the demo version to do anything /BUT/ show me the news.

My solution was to just go ahead and subscribe. It seemed the path of least resistance. ^.~

I think Fuzzy Logic hit the nail on the head. I am running SETI, I will re-download to see if his theory holds true...

I run SETI and have never experienced this sort of problem. I know all to well that different things can happen on different systems, but I have never personally had any issues with SETI causing problems on my computer.

Seti uses the same type of connection as WCBrowser. All you have to do is exit Seti while WCBrowser is running and everything should work normally.
