Tile bonus with no buildable tile (bug?)

On a game started on 1.0, currently playing on 1.01.1, I recently started invading Altarian worlds, and this is the second time I've found this, a tile bonus where there is no buildable tile:

The first time I found this, I used the terraforming tech to make the tile buildable, and the bonus did then apply to the tile.

This isn't intended is it?  Seems like a bug.

I do believe it a "damaged" tile due to your invasion. can be rebuilt with teraforming

Ah, that could be, thanks.

I thought invasion only destroyed improvements, but I could definitely be wrong about that.

i've seen that too on conquered planets. not really sure what it's supposed to mean. the "improvements lost" and "sectors lost" statistics are a bit confusing to me.

i think GC2 had similar mechanics, so i figured that "improvement lost" means that some factories got blown up during the ground combat, so the building is gone but the tile is still there. "sectors lost" means that some tiles are unusable. the conventional ground combat doesn't seem to destroy sectors, though. that's only when you play the "bombardment" card that represents your guys throwing asteroids at the defenders.

there may be a bug in that invasion code. i'm pretty sure i've seen such "ghost tiles" on planets i conquered without destroying sectors.

or maybe i'm just misunderstanding the two statistics and they mean something different.

End of Azunai_'s quote

I figured they might have been conquered that way before by another race :)
