When married to a Jewish woman who often is confronted with anti-semitism I don't find racism, even in relatively mild and "harmless" forms, to be the slightest bit funny.

Discriminating, racially, or any other 'way' is prohibited, irrespective of race, creed, or colour...and that includes EVERY nationality, including Iraqis.

People 'may' not like a certain individual, eg, Saddam, but his failings are not his people's.

I didn't make me chuckle at all. To be honest, it made my heart break. Maybe you didn't picture the poverty and hardships and pain that people in that area suffer from when you laughed at that joke...

I hope everyone here can keep their jokes in reasonably good taste, and not post racist or inappropriate material. That's why when the Joke marathon was started I was clear about the rules for it.

Husipoo.....many if not most of the people on this board are over 40, or at least over 30.....It's an old 'joke' and a tasteless one we probably all have heard before anyway.

Just move on from this.
In time, you'll discover we're a decent bunch of people, and worthy of mutual respect....

The request was to remove the offending joke. Husipoo is, as claimed, is quite likely a very good person. It was a error in judgement. We all err. Jafo has thankfully removed the thread containing the joke. I believe in giving the benifit of the doubt. I'm satisfied with the result.
